Down the Roller Coaster

The day I thought would never come, has indeed arrived.

Cue tears. Lots of them.

    I can’t believe how grown they are! Nick is so tall and Nora looks exactly like you except for the blonde hair. And I am seriously jealous of those Peppa Pig backpacks – my daughter, who will be 3 in Sept. – would adore one of those. Wouldn’t have the faintest idea where to find one here in the states.

      Oooh, aren’t those cool? They’re actually lunch boxes. Egg-shaped lunch boxes. I find myself astounded at lunch boxes which are not, in fact, boxes.

    Sad day indeed. Angel3 started 1st grade a few weeks ago and already seems a year older. : ) It seems like Angel1 just finished kindergarten, and now she’s a 12th grader applying for colleges. (heavy sigh)

    Once in a while I get in a “grumpy” mood. It usually happens when I listen to music from my carefree days (the 80s & early 90s). That music makes me dwell on and lament the loss of my youth and makes me evaluate whether I chose the right church, the right career, the right company, the right spouse, the right place to live, the right number of kids, the right hobbies,…

    But Paul said, “I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances…I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry; whether living in plenty or in want.” I think contentment is the key.

    Brings back memories of the DDDs ( darling dumpling daughters). Truly a bittersweet moment.

    Hang on and enjoy the ride. Feels like we just took that picture for my oldest and she just started her “Senior Year”. It too shall be over too quickly.

    When do they start kindergarten? My girl started this week. I loved how she came home every day to tell me how many new friends she made. (Especially since I am totally awkward and still have difficulty making friends)

      Official start date – 5 Sept. And I’m like you, I think I spent most of my childhood friendless. Who are these children we bore?

      it is indeed the last year, but I want to hold on to it and think I’ll just wheel it out every year anyway. You did well, I LOVE that train!

    They look like kids, not babies! My oldest was born three months after them..and she’s still a baby. I think yours must have entered a time warp or something because there is no way they are old enough to be in school. And you must have magical powers..how did you get them to look at the camera at the same time? One of mine will have a beautiful shining face and the other is all “Look! A squirrel!”
