This won’t be up for long, but just to say –
The twins’ gifts from us – a dollhouse for her, a train set for him (we don’t do stereotypes but it just so happens that’s what they love) – were a hit. Both are pre-loved toys as well – we’re big fans of re-using, particularly with toys. Her dollhouse was a very expensive one that a set of grandparents bought for their granddaughter when she visited. It was used approximately 4 times in its early life. The same goes for Nick’s train set. I suspect they’re going to be used for a long while in this house.
Nora opened her Santa gift – a doctor set – and immediately ordered me to sit down and be the patient. This because not only is she a bossy one, but because she insisted that she could fix my wrists. She did so by taking my blood pressure, listening to my heart, and using a mirror to check my back molars. I feel ever so much better.
Nick opened his Santa gift – his so badly longed-for truck carrying logs – and his reaction was absolutely, completely worth it.
